Yang Hui
Yang Hui contributes painting to Go Have Tea. Her landscapes, teaware, and floral works bring movement, place, and material attention into the exhibition. Rather than serving as a decorative sign of “tradition,” each painting should be encountered as an individual artwork with its own title, date, medium, dimensions, and visual rhythm.
In After Wang Meng’s Ge Zhichuan Moving His Dwelling, a classical composition is re-situated through a work made in Edmonton. The image of a family moving through mountains can be read not simply as retreat, but as reorientation: a search for rhythm, shelter, dignity, and renewed relation in a changing environment.
